There are few Marvel Comics fiber with less in common thanX - Men’sGambitandDaredevil , as one grew up to be a professional stealer and con artist while the other is a dear Catholic and lawyer . However , one artist decided to ignore those differences and merge the two together into one hero , and fan are happy they did , as this fanart redesign is absolutely brilliant . Remy LeBeau aka Gambit was raised in the Thieves Guild , a cult - corresponding criminal organisation that trained its members to be the with child thieves in the world from the time they ’re children – and Remy was the adept of them . Eventually , Gambit decided to leave the life of offence behind and become a extremity of the superhero mutant squad , the tenner - Men , though he never stopped being a smooth - talk charmer , as that was simply intrinsic to his entire personality ( indeed , it is technically one of his mutant power ) . Matt Murdock , on the other handwriting , was so filled with self-sacrifice as a child , that he literally threw himself in front of a truck carrying toxic material to save someone else from being struck . The stroke that followed leave Matt unsighted , and a short meter later , his father was killed by a local crime syndicate . So , Matt practice himself to his faith and to the founding of law and order , though when malign stay , Matt would handle it as Daredevil . While both men are heroes , one of them was turn out with that spirit of righteous , natural law - abiding good within him , while the other was not . However , that did n’t kibosh one artist from blend them into one hero anyway , and the outcome is outstanding .

Gambit & Daredevil are Merged Into 1 Hero (& Not for the First Time)

In a Tweet by user / artist John McGuinness ( handle : mcguinnessjohn ) Re - Tweeting another Tweet from AIPT ( handle : AIPTcomics ) regarding fanart mashups of popular X - Men characters , the creative person share two of their pieces , and one of them was the Gambit / temerarious mashup . The image shows Gambit dressed in a unique take on a Daredevil suit , smiling at an opponent whose leg are framing the focal character . The suit is complete with Daredevil ’s iconic cowling and double - five hundred insignia on the chest , as well as the reddish and black coloring that ’s been featured on a few of harum-scarum ’s suits in the past . However , Gambit seems to have thrown his own spin on the wooing , as his hair is flowing out of the cowling from the top ( like with Gambit ’s own classical courting ) , and his weapons are n’t billy clubs , but two shortened bo staffs – which is Gambit ’s theme song weapon – each one soar with power from Gambit ’s mutation .

Interestingly enough , as nerveless as this mashup is , this would n’t be the first time Gambit donned Daredevil ’s courtship . In the comicDeadpool v Gambitby Ben Acker , Ben Blacker , and Danilo Beyruth , Gambit teams up with Deadpoolto draw off a heist , and the architectural plan is to dress as two upstanding superheroes to pull it off . Deadpool dressed as Spider - Man , and Gambit dress as Daredevil . In this representative , Gambit had no say over the esthetic of the costume , as he was trying to convince the cosmos that he was Daredevil – at least , until the heist was over and done with . This piece of fanart is so much more interesting than that , as it not only puts Gambit in Daredevil ’s lawsuit , but actually merges the two characters together in a really fun and unique way .

This is one of those instances where a piece of fanart is cool than the actual comic , as this Daredevil / Gambit mashup does n’t actually exist in Marvel Comics , but definitely should . Perhaps John McGuinness will get the chance to lend this version ofGambit / Daredevilto life for Marvel Comics – given their chronicle as a professional comic leger creative person – though until that time , fan will have to be content with their jaw - dropping piece ofX - Menfanart .
