As Mea goes through a marital crisis with her husband , Kal Hawthorne ( Seam Sagar ) , Zyair visits her to ask her to represent him , which creates more tension between Mea and Kal and his family . Kal ’s control female parent , Azalia ( Kerry O’Malley ) , and his older crony Ray ( Nick Sagar ) essay to convince Mea to not help Zyair , more so as Ray is the District Attorney in charge of Zyair ’s suit , but she takes it anyway . The only ally in Kal ’s category that Mea has is Charlise , Ray ’s married woman , who is also check by Ray and Azalia – and they even attempt to drink down her once their plans are exposed by Mea .

In the first turn of events atthe last ofMea Culpa , Mea discovers a house painting by Zyair at Ray and Charlise ’s home with the surface layer torn down , revealing a portrait of Charlise . As Zyair used to paint portraits of the women he was intimate with , this unwrap Charlise ’s affair with Zyair . The second twirl involved Azalia , Ray , and Kal , as Azalia had faked having cancer so Ray could get sympathy votes and Ray had faked the accusations against Zyair in revenge for Charlise ’s involvement with him .
