Both of those time call for the formation of a squad warm enough to take down a world - ending threat , and this most late case is no dissimilar . In the fresh - introduced Marvel universe of Earth-6160 , Tony Stark is up against a scourge that neither old version of himself ever had to deal with before : the Maker . While a Reed Richards variant may not seem as deadly as the literal god Loki ( as that ’s who brought the Avengers together in the comics and the movies ) , that sentiment could n’t be further from the trueness . The Maker is smart , remorseless , and utterly uncaring when it comes to his sick experiments - and he ’s experimenting on this entire universe . Now , only Tony Stark of Earth-6160 - who ’s still just a kid - want to shape a squad to take him down . So far , Stark has this population ’s version of Doctor Doom on his side , and the two of them are about to dissolve out a glacial Captain America .

InUltimate Invasion#4 by Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch , the Maker is in a temporal war against Kang , and is seemingly defeated by the end of the yield , leaving his secret world government antsy and on the precipice of lead off a world warfare just to observe their version of ordering . One member of this Illuminati was Howard Stark , until he turned on the Maker and actually sparked the engagement with Kang . But before he did , he left his son Tony with a very important undertaking : unwrap the damage the Maker has done to the world . So , Tony teams up with Howard ’s former scientific partner under the Maker , Doctor Doom - who is actuallyEarth-6160 ’s Reed Richards deform into Doctor Doomby the Maker as a sick of joke . Together , Tony Stark designs his own Iron Man suit to match that of his father , and he and Doctor Doom set off to find the third phallus of their team : Captain America ( which they do , as revealed in the net pages of the comic ) .
While this new superhero team has n’t officially been refer ‘ the Avengers ’ quite yet , the story of its shaping is perhaps the most impactful edition of the team ever written . Throughout this serial publication so far , reader have follow as the Maker slowly tear this universe apart art object by piece , eliminating the superheroes he know will go up up , and supplant them with corrupt world loss leader totally under his control . With the ability to trip the multiverse , the Maker does n’t see this world as anything more than his science laboratory experimentation , with these the great unwashed ’s lives and their total history meaning less than nothing to him . However , despite all the heroes who the Maker erase from existence , or those he wind into his own personal puppet , a team of heroes is still rising up against him . It ’s a different kind of Avengers squad , to be sure , but one that is being spurt in spite of the multiversal wickedness that plagues their humankind .
Fans will have to wait until the next progeny for even the chance of seeing this version of the Avengers in action . But just from the members and the circumstances palisade them alone , it ’s good to say that fans wo n’t be disappoint , even if Tony Stark is undoubtedly forming the weirdestAvengersteam ever with Doctor Doom .
