Mr. Miyagi is the one who trained Danny LaRusso in the ways of Miyagi - Do Karate , which leads to the formation of theKarate Kidmovies and its eventual metamorphosis intoCobra Kai . essentially , Mr. Miyagi is integral to the total franchise , which is something that Master Splinter is not only aware of , but legitimately inspired by . During the events of thisTMNTcomic , Splinter was at a crossroad . sliver is n’t sure if he should carry on leading the Foot Clan , or go back to living his life the mode he primitively mean – the path Mr. Miyagi would have . Interestingly enough , when Splinter imagine back to the moment he named Mr. Miyagi as his preferent movie martial artist , he gets a sojourn from Karai who wants to take over the Foot Clan herself , as she isShredder ’s granddaughter , and Splinter immediately defecate the effort to begin that conversion of power .
