There , Raphael’sTMNTorigin is a number different from any previous telling , and it does a much better job explain his angry and oftentimes antisocial personality . After being exposed to the mutagen ooze , Raphael was separated from his other three brothers , and he was forced to undergo his genetic mutation and live on the hateful streets of New York all by himself . Of naturally , Raph would n’t stay lost for long , but it seems as though that experience shape who he would become . Since Raph had to look out for himself during his formative days , he normally goes off by himself whenever he ’s stressed , overwhelmed , or has a problem he needs to solve . This also explains his short snappishness , and his near - constant internal rage . While not advisedly , Raphael was give up , and that harm has manifested in the form of choler and concern . Though not revere for himself , concern of himself .
TMNT’s Raphael is Afraid to Expose His Trauma to Those He Loves
InTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles#91 by Kevin Eastman , Bobby Curnow , Tom Waltz , and Michael Dialynas , the Turtles spend some clock time with Karai ’s loyal mutanimal soldiers : the mutant shark Bludgeon , the mutant hooter Koya , and the mutant seawall Ocho . While Koya and Bludgeon are being gracious guests , Ocho commence acting a little strange . Out of nowhere , she tells Raphael that she can ‘ taste and smell out ’ him . When Raphael addresses this – mostly in a state of disbelief – Ocho explain that she can smell out his fear , and that she knows the theme of that fear is his rage .
Ocho call Raphael weak for dread his own fury , but truthfully , Ocho could n’t have been more wrong . Raphael have a go at it what it is to find alone , truly and perfectly alone , as that ’s all he make love while he went through the most meaning change in his life . Raph did n’t sleep together what was happening to him while mutating , or why he was no longer with his brothers – who , the last he remember , were just steady turtles like he was . Fear raised Raphael , and it ’s reverence that kept him alive . Unfortunately , that fear also made him arduous and distant . It curled into rage , and since he had no one during such a polar moment in his lifetime , Raph has no idea how to the right way handle with those complex emotion . The only matter he knows for certain is that he ca n’t lose his family again , and he ’s scared that if he lets his choler get out of ascendancy , he ’ll be alone once more . That ’s why he opts to just leave and be alone when matter get too complicated . He ’s used to handle job on his own , and he also does n’t desire to queer his brothers to the room he feels on the interior : raging and scared .
The love of his category has helped Raphael work through his hurt vastly . What he went through will always be a part of him , but he ’s slowly see that he really does n’t have to go through it alone . But , when he need to be alone , his brother ’s know to give him that infinite . Some , like Ocho , may see Raphael ’s attitude as a impuissance , and in some ways it can be as it is true that Raphael does n’t keep his straits in every grant state of affairs ( the situation with Ocho being a complete example ) . However , that does n’t mean Raphael himself is rickety , because after surviving what he went through , Raphaelactually seems like the strongest of theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles .
