This worked in the moving picture ’s favor as these flashbacks added to the enigma of Eric ’s character and exhibit enough for the consultation to see that what they had was limited and strong , making the tragedy of their deaths even more painful . Eric not being given a chance to resurrect Shelly and simply using his clip back on Earth to avenge her and his death also made his journeying a lot more powerful , as he was driven by infliction and angriness .
