In a preview shared byLooperforThunderbolts#3 by Jackson Lanzing , Collin Kelly , and Geraldo Borges , Shang - Chi ( who is working with the Thunderbolts ) come near U.S.Agent in the Leslie Townes Hope that John Walker will get together them in taking down the Red Skull . Walker is currently on a mission for the U.S. government , but Shang - Chi tells him his commission is a Trygve Lie , and only do to avail Red Skull . gratuitous to say , U.S.Agent does n’t believe him .

While it ’s true that Shang - Chi has a number of iconic Marvel characters he can agitate in the MCU , there ’s no good time to accommodate his combat with U.S.Agent than aright now . fight those other heroes would require buildup and explanation , but one with John Walker could happen as easily as it did in this comedian . Given the up - and - do nature of both characters in the MCU , and the fact that Shang - Chi recently became an Avenger whileU.S.Agent has been inscribe on the Thunderbolts , the timing is perfect for this fight to be brought to the big blind .
