AfterSex and the Citycame to an end in 2004 , viewers reunite with Carrie , Charlotte , Samantha ( Kim Cattrall ) , and Miranda ( Cynthia Nixon ) in the 2008 picture of the same name and two years subsequently in the sequel simply titledSex and the City 2 .
Two years afterCarrie and Mr. Big ’s ( Chris Noth ) wedding , the four friends traveled to Abu Dhabi as Samantha do work on a PR campaign for an Arak sheikh ’s business , and while Miranda was excited about it and ( for once ) had nothing to interest about , Carrie had some thinking to do about her marriage and Charlotte worried about leaving Harry ( Evan Handler ) with their two daughters and their new nanny , Erin ( Alice Eve ) . Charlotte ’s obsessive worries about Erin not only hurt Charlotte ’s role but also ingeminate one of the defective storylines fromFriends , and amazingly , made it even regretful .

Sex and the City 2 & Friends Had A “Hot Nanny” Storyline (& SatC Made It Worse)
At the beginning ofSex and the City 2 , Charlotte was delighted with Erin as she help her a lot with her daughters , especially with the youngest , who would n’t stop crying . Charlotte did n’t even think about the slight opening of something happening between Harry and Erin until Samantha institute it up and the balance steer out how attractive Erin is , focalize mostly on how she never wear out a bra . During their time in Abu Dhabi , Charlotte invariably called Harry , and her obsession get unfit when she happen out she scantily had phone signal , so she spent most of her fourth dimension imagine the worst . In the end , Erin was revealed to be a tribade and was seen with her girlfriend at Lily ’s birthday party , like to whatFriendsdid with Molly ( Melissa George ) .
InFriendsseason 9episode “ The One With Phoebe ’s Rats ” , Rachel ( Jennifer Aniston ) and Ross ( David Schwimmer ) take Molly , a Modern nanny-goat for Emma – or as Joey ( Matt LeBlanc ) called her , a “ hot nanny ” . Joey try on to make a move on Molly , but at the last of the episode , Molly premise him , Ross , and Chandler ( Matthew Perry ) to her girlfriend , which only made Joey even more excited . Molly come out again in the undermentioned episode but there were no more references to her sexuality nor was she have-to doe with to as “ hot nursemaid ” again . Sex and the City 2borrowed this plot line and made it worse by oversexualizing Erin ( let in a wet liothyronine - shirt scene at Charlotte ’s bath while Erin and Harry gave Lily a bathtub ) and having Charlotte obsess over another woman possibly taking her husband away from her , with the cherry red on top being the “ adult reveal ” of Erin being a lesbian .
Over the course ofSex and the Cityand both movies , Charlotte often judged every cleaning woman who go against her beliefs and perspective on marriage , human relationship , sex , lovemaking , and social norms , which peaked with how she worried about Erin and Harry , even though Harry had never give her any grounds to not bank him . In addition to that , Sex and the City 2perpetuated the sexualization of Lesbian and lesbian couples through Erin and her girlfriend , and this storyline was , ultimately , unnecessary .
