Summary
Warning : bear SPOILERS for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver # 2!Quicksilver ’s time in the MCU was short - lived , and his opine interdimensional return was a mislead , intend he did n’t have time to show off all the incredible ability his genetic mutation offers him . In Marvel Comics , however , Quicksilver is much more of an established character , and his powers are amply flesh out - including an all - new power that just debuted in his latest laughable dangerous undertaking . However , evenif Quicksilver did have more clock time in the MCU , it ’s unconvincing this peculiar power would have made the slash , as it ’s equal parts brutal and gross .
In a trailer forScarlet Witch and Quicksilver#2 by Steve Orlando and Lorenzo Tammetta , the villainous Wizard and his evil minion , the Frightful Four Hundred , are hunting Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver with the intent of bolt down them . While Scarlet Witch is in New York plow with the Wizard directly , Quicksilver is at the Grand Canyon fight the Frightful Four Hundred , where he display an all - new attack : a ‘ sonic flick ’ .
After Quicksilver was thrown a mile into the air via an anti - gravity disk , and then make two vortexes by spinning his limb around at ludicrous speed to cushion his fall , he was met with the barrel of a gun held by a murderous extremity of the Frightful Four Hundred . So , rather than simply run away from this scoundrel , Quicksilver did something he ’d always desire to try . Using his middle finger and quarter round , Quicksilver flicked his fingers so hard and fast that it make a sonic blow that like a shot stop the scoundrel . Unfortunately , it also broke Quicksilver ’s fingerbreadth .
While Quicksilver is eff as the fastest hero on the Avengers ( specially in the MCU ) , one other hero just stole that particular title of respect for themself .
Quicksilver’s New ‘Sonic Flick’ Power Breaks His Fingers
Quicksilver ’s ‘ transonic flick ’ attack is insanely vicious , not only for the person he ’s using it against , but for himself as well . To rive it off , Quicksilver has to willingly break his own fingerbreadth , as his body ca n’t handle the good time that his pep pill creates . It ’s vindicated that this is an attack Quicksilver wo n’t be using every daylight , but it ’s a great one to have in his armory .
This issue evince Quicksilver doing the ‘ transonic flick ’ for the first time against a lone assailant . He was testing his ability against someone he could have easily beaten if the attack did n’t exploit . But , now that Quicksilver knows that it does work , he can use it against a peachy number of villains at the same time if he ever finds himself palisade by overpowering military force . Sure , he ’d break his digit , but he ’d also unleash a transonic blast that would clear multiple foeman simultaneously , while also make a path for his own escape .
Even If Quicksilver Returns in the MCU, This Attack is a Bit Too R-Rated
Self - harm is n’t something a kin - friendly cinematic cosmos like the MCU would require to advertize , even if it is for the interest of a new ability for one of its fighter . ego - sacrifice is heroic - which is something Quicksilver in reality did do in the MCU - but self - hurt is perhaps a small too intense . Powers that ask one to hurt themselves is something fans are used to see in series likeThe Boys , where the cognitive content is decidedly R - rated . However , even though it ’s a cool attack , something like Quicksilver ’s ‘ sonic flick ’ could likely never happen in the MCU , even if Quicksilver did make his MCU generate .
While a hot - activity debut of this brutal attack is improbable , Quicksilver ’s ‘ transonic flick ’ has feel a habitation in Marvel Comics , thereby add yet another power to his already impressive mutant powers ( even if it is too gross / roentgen - rated for the MCU ) .
