The Mousers targeted the majority of the rotter in the metropolis and exterminated them , and when they were done , it was April O’Neil ’s jobto pinpoint them and remotely direct them back to Stockman ’s research lab ( since April was Stockman ’s employee at the time ) . Right as April only had one more Mouser to call back to the lab , she learned that it had been destroy by an unnamed attacker . Worried about who could have done this , April calls the Ninja Turtles to go investigate , and sure as shooting enough , it was worth their prison term . As it turned out , Leatherhead destroy the Mouser after weaken into a museum , but not before the single Mouser take off a couple of the sport ’s finger .
While it may seem like a modest effort , the fact that one Mouser could impose that level of damage onto someone as potent as Leatherhead is actually unbelievably telling . Leatherhead has been shew flinging cars like it ’s nothing and even taking onall four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesat once . Yet somehow , Leatherhead gets mutilate by just one of these apparently whacky little robots . This tells fan that these Mousers are n’t just goofy little robots after all , but legitimate threats .
In the ‘ 90s show , the TMNT always said that the Mousers were dangerous , yet they would destruct them in droves with seemingly little effort . However , within the IDW continuity , just one of these Mousers did serious harm to perhaps the strongest mutant inTMNTcanon , which begs the enquiry : what could a drove of them do ? While the Ninja Turtles have take on these enemies before , this issue confirms that they might not desire to do so again , as this scandalous ‘ 90sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesvillain is right smart deadlier than fan knew .
