10Working At The Parks Department Would Be Really Boring
Leslie was what brought some animation to Pawnee ’s Parks Department , but the truth is that working there would have been very boring . What made Leslie ’s job play to find out was the many problems and sometimes random berth she got herself into , such as the dog poop conflict in time of year 1 . However , any other Clarence Shepard Day Jr. at the Parks Department was uneventful and not even Jerry ’s ( Jim O’Heir ) clumsiness would have made working there a bit more bearable . appear back , it ’s graspable why Ron Swanson ( Nick Offerman ) did n’t like solve there , apart from his hate for the governance .
9Jerry Didn’t Deserve All The Hate He Got During Parks & Rec
The Parks Department crew spend a flock of metre bully Jerry in and out of the office , and as the serial publication shape up , the intimidation produce bad . Surely , Jerry was gawky and often find himself in unenviable situations , but even though his coworkers treat him badly , he was always open to help them and genuinely cared about all of them . Parks & Rec ’s treatment of Jerry went too far on many occasions , humiliating him to the point where it was n’t suspicious , and Jerry was definitely undeserving of all that intimidation and detest . Even thoughParks & Rectried to make up for all that by pass on Jerry the perfect , happy family line , it does n’t exempt or free how badly Jerry was plow for no real understanding .

Leslie was , by far , the one who worked the most and the hardest at the Parks Department , and while the rest did what they had to do , some of them would n’t have lasted long . Such is the casing of April ( Aubrey Plaza ) and Andy ( Chris Pratt ) , who were , arguably , the biggest slackers at City Hall . April was never afraid to admit that she hardly ever did what she was supposed to , and Andy used his position as a skid shiner to hang out at City Hall rather than doing his job . Although both finally matured ( even if just a mo ) and find jobs they actually wish , they should n’t have been around for that long at City Hall .

Tom Haverford ( Aziz Ansari ) stood out for his confidence and his unbalanced business idea , but looking back at his history inParks & Rec , Tom was actually a terrible booster . Tom often have reward of his Friend , especially Leslie , and every time he was supposedly helping his friend , he actually had plan of his own . An example of this is when Leslie asked Tom ’s eminent - remainder amusement caller , Entertainment 720 , to avail her put on a Meet and Greet for Pawnee ’s business people , which Tom used to push himself and the society , blockade Leslie .

Ann call for to get help , butParks & Recdidn’t care that much for her and rather continued accentuating those problems for the saki of the plot .
5Leslie Caused Most Of Her Own Problems In Parks & Rec
Leslie often get herself require in foreign and ultimately funny situation , but calculate back , it becomes clear that most of Leslie ’s job and awkward situations were because of her . Most of the times when Pawnee ’s citizens plough their backs on Leslie were because Leslie said something she should n’t have say or acted impulsively to get some variety of welfare or advantage over something or someone . Leslie was her biggest obstacle most of the time , but she also commence herself out of most of those job and uncomfortable situations .
4Pawnee’s City Hall Was A Sexist Workplace
Although Leslie was always cheerful and spoke highly of her Book of Job at Pawnee ’s City Hall , the truth is that City Hall was n’t exactly a healthy work . Leslie often dealt with a lot of sexism at City Hall , especially when she became City Councilor . Surely , Leslie was strong enough to always stand up for herself and oppose her idea and her job , but that does n’t make Pawnee and City Hall any less problematic .
3Ron’s Relationships With Both Tammys Were Problematic
Ron Swanson had a deadpan personality and stereotypic masculine traits , and there were only two woman who could bring out two very different and alarming sides of him : his ex-wife - wives , Tammy 1 and Tammy 2 . The first one to come out inParks & Recwas Tammy 2 , who turned Ron into what Leslie described as “ a craze sexual practice devil ” and did n’t let him focus on anything that was n’t her and sex . Even more problematic than Tammy 2 and her influence on Ron was Tammy 1 , who was a lot older than Ron and , agree to the story of how they met , basically groomed Ron . Luckily , Ron was able to separate loose from both , but watching him lose himself when they were around is still atrocious to watch .

Leslie proudly waved her feminist signal flag throughoutParks & Recreation , and while she did have moment where she showed her feminist movement and keep , she was n’t really the feminist she claim to be . One of the most knock moments when it fall to Leslie ’s women’s lib was when she become to a strip order with Tom , where she did n’t show respect for the women working there . Leslie even judged the terpsichorean for supposedly not having other aspirations in life , which point a completely different and unpleasant side of Leslie , who prided herself on stand for par and authorize women .
1Parks & Rec Used Mental Health For Laughs
Parks & Recreationsaw its main characters go through many ups and pile , some more serious than others , and though it touch on the topic of mental wellness and therapy with Chris Traeger , it still used mental wellness for laughs . Chris was obsessive and unbelievably cheerful and positive all the time , which turn out to be steady down in deep trauma . Chris pop out go to a healer , but even this was used for laughter . When Ben ( Adam Scott ) was unemployed , he was undeniably depressed , which again was used for comedy by get him try different , random hobbies .
As mentioned above , Ann require help as she had a hard prison term being alone and always changed her personality reckon on who she was dating , and Ron also needed help to treat all the trauma he had gone through with both Tammys .
