Batman Cut A Scene Where Keaton’s Bruce Went Into A Trance
In an interview with theLos Angeles Times ’ Hero Complexin 2011 , Michael Keaton opened up about play Bruce Wayne in Tim Burton’sBatman , and he made some interesting reveals as well . Keaton struggled with the personation of the transition from Bruce Wayne to Batman , as he wanted to make it credible , so he had a couple of suggestions for Burton . One of them was doing a scene that would show that transition , as Keaton explain that it was “ not a nonchalant affair ” when Bruce puts on the Batman costume to go fight crime in the street of Gotham , so he suggest Bruce pass into “ a sorting of trance ” that would justify “ this shift in him ” . Keaton explained that they shot the scene but it did n’t make it to the final cut , so the consultation did n’t get to see how Bruce prepared to get into his Batman persona .
How This Cut Scene Would Have Affected Tim Burton’s Batman
Had Tim Burton add Bruce going into a spell to become Batman to the final cutting off ofBatman , it would have negatively affected Keaton ’s version of the Caped Crusader . figure Bruce go into a trance and come out of it as Batman would have ( most likely unintentionally ) suggested that Bruce ’s mental health was n’t the good , which not only is n’t something that the character struggles with in the comics but it ’s also a ticklish subject that should be treated with care when portraying it in pic and television set . Surely , Bruce struggles with the exercising weight of being Batman and keeping Gotham safe , with this inner struggle being very dissimilar from what the “ trance ” view would have suggested , as it would have been something more serious .
Although Bruce going into a spell to show his transformation into Batman did n’t make it to the pic , Keaton shared that film the scene help oneself him “ in a way ” , as it was part of how Bruce became Gotham ’s vigilance man even if it was n’t shown on screen , and it was “ part of the character ” and the way of life he and Burton create him .
